Blue Oaks Veterinary Clinic Update - Coronavirus

In light of the recent developments around the new novel coronavirus, COVID-19, we would like to share the guidelines below with our clients to make you aware of what we are doing to help flatten the curve and limit the spread of the virus.

The health and safety of our clients and our team is always a top priority for Blue Oaks Veterinary Clinic. As of now, we will be open to care for your pets normal hours. We continue to sanitize all surfaces throughout the day which include, but is not limited to, handles, chairs, counters, tables, etc.

Please follow these guidelines when visiting the clinic. Thank you in advance for your cooperation and understanding.

-Wash your hands with soap and water prior to visiting our hospital. The CDC recommends that people make sure to frequently wash their hands with soap for at least 20 seconds. -Use provided hand sanitizer upon arriving and leaving. -Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth. -Cover your mouth and nose when you cough or sneeze, using a tissue or the inside of your elbow. -Keep a safe social distance (6 feet) between yourself and others when possible. -Avoid shaking hands.

If you are experiencing symptoms of coronavirus disease, i.e. have fever, cough, or shortness of breath, or have been in contact with someone who has, it is critical that you contact us on the phone before coming in to discuss your appointment, so that we can decide how to safely proceed. Upon speaking, we may ask you to find someone else to bring your pet to our clinic or recommend that you or someone you know drop your pet off with us to receive care. If you are feeling sick or are in a vulnerable group, we encourage you to utilize our drop off service. Call from your vehicle when you arrive, we will take a history over the phone and we will have someone come out to your car to get your pet. The doctor can then examine your pet and call to discuss any recommendations.

Furthermore, during this time we will be waiving all day stay/ward use fees to encourage drop off appointments. We will also be offering ‘drive-thru’ prescription pick up service where you can call us from your car outside and we will bring you your pet’s medication(s).

We will continue to monitor the situation and keep you up to date regarding any changes moving forward. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us at (916) 771-6930.
